What we change, and what we won't

We change

  • The layout, to a single column with standard headings that screening software recognises
  • Where your contact details sit, moving them out of the Word header, which many systems skip
  • Your personal statement, so it names the job and says what you bring to it
  • Duties into outcomes, using the details you give us
  • Your wording, to match the advert's where your experience supports it

We won't

  • Invent numbers, employers, clients, qualifications or skills
  • List an unfinished qualification as complete
  • Stretch dates to hide a gap, or downgrade a job title
  • Add a photo, your date of birth or other details UK CVs leave out

The formatting rules are the ones in our guide to getting your CV past ATS screening. We follow them on every CV we write.

What to send us

We work only from what you put in the order form. There's no interview and no call, so the detail you give is the detail we have. The things that make the biggest difference:

What happens after you order

  1. You fill in the order form with your details, the job title, the advert, your current CV or work history, and anything you want us to know.
  2. You pay £9.99 through Stripe. At checkout you confirm that work can start straight away.
  3. We draft your CV with Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, against your advert. The draft follows our written rules for UK CVs, which cover layout, the personal statement, how achievements are framed and how gaps are handled.
  4. A person reads it before it goes out, checking every employer, date, number and qualification against what you sent.
  5. It arrives by email within 24 hours of payment, as a Word file and a PDF, with a short note on what we focused on and anything you should check.
  6. Reply within 48 hours if you'd like changes. One revision is included.

If an order is going to be late, we email to tell you. Delivery is an estimate rather than a guarantee, as our terms explain.

Who it suits, and who should go elsewhere

It suits people early or midway through their career who are applying for specific roles and hearing little back. It works well if you are changing career, since we lead with the skills that carry over and keep your full work history in date order. It also suits returners after a break, and anyone whose current CV is a two-column template that screening software struggles to read.

Go elsewhere if you're applying at executive or board level. At that level a specialist who interviews you and shapes how you present leadership is worth the higher fee, usually £300 to £500. Our CV pricing checker shows what that costs and names services that do it.

Don't buy a rewrite if you are already getting interviews but no offers. Your CV is doing its job; interview preparation is a better use of the money. And if you want to talk your experience through with a writer, we don't offer calls. Established writers, usually £100 to £300, often include a phone consultation.

Questions about the CV rewrite

Is my CV written by AI?

It is drafted with Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, working from your CV and the advert you send and following our written rules for UK CVs. A person then reads it against what you sent before it goes to you. If a detail cannot be traced back to your order, it comes out.

Will you add achievements or numbers I did not give you?

No. Every employer, date, number and qualification on your CV comes from what you sent. If an achievement would be stronger with a figure we don't have, we leave it without one and tell you in the delivery email, so you can add it or send it to us for your free revision.

Can I use the CV for other jobs?

It is written for the advert you send, so it works best for that job. For a similar role, changing the profile and key skills to match the new advert is usually enough. For a different kind of role, it is worth ordering a new rewrite against that advert.

I don't have a CV. Can you still write one?

Yes. Write out your jobs, dates, what you did and anything you're proud of in the order form. Rough notes are fine. If there isn't much to work from, the CV will be shorter rather than padded, and we'll tell you what extra detail would strengthen it.

How long will my CV be?

Up to two pages, which is normal in the UK. If your experience fits on one page, it stays on one. Three pages only for more than 15 years of relevant experience or an academic CV.

Can I cancel after ordering?

Yes, until your CV is delivered, for a full refund. At checkout you agree that work starts straight away and that the right to cancel ends once your document has been delivered. Our terms explain this in full.
